Well water test results, explained
Lab reports are hard to read. Type in your numbers and we'll tell you which ones are a problem, what each one means, and what fixes it. We'll sort out the units too.
Everything happens in your browser. Your results aren't sent or saved anywhere.
Type "ND" for anything the lab didn't detect. Pick the unit your report uses.
How to read the units on your report
Most labs report in mg/L or µg/L. 1 mg/L is 1 part per million (ppm). 1 µg/L is 1 part per billion (ppb), a thousand times smaller. PFAS come in ng/L, parts per trillion. Watch the units: an arsenic result of 0.012 mg/L is the same as 12 µg/L, which is over the limit of 10.
"ND" or a number with "<" in front means the lab didn't find it above the smallest amount it can measure. That's a good result, as long as that smallest amount is below the limit.
